Heading out of the gym, hungry as you can ever be and craving a sweet snack? Who hasn’t been in this situation before? Well, I have good news for you! This brownie is just what you’ve been looking for: a high-protein snack that will rock your socks off!
It’s fudgy, chocolaty and so delicious you’d want to eat the batter right out of the bowl.
All you need is:
- 1 can of chickpeas (about 400g)
- 1/3 cup of dark cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup of peanut butter (try to make it at home!)
- 1/3 cup of milk (can be plant-based
- Pinch of salt
- 1/3 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- Dark chocolate, chopped (optional)
Preheat the oven at 180°C. Blend all the ingredients together in a high-speed blender, except for the chopped chocolate. If you have a sweet tooth, you can add in a bit more of sugar. So instead of 1/3 cup, you can try 1/2 cup. When all the ingredients are fully incorporated, stop blending and fold in the small bits of dark chocolate.
Pour in the mixture into a baking dish, which has been previously greased and floured. To get perfectly-shaped brownies, smooth the top of the mixture with a spatula. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes and let it cool before slicing it.
